Boise Hawks Send Three to NWL/PIO All Star Game

BOISE, ID - The Boise Hawks, Short Season Class-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, in conjunction with the Northwest League, have announced they are sending three players to the Northwest League / Pioneer League All Star Game. Infielders Daniel Jipping, Danny Edgeworth and Terrin Vavra have been selected to represent the Northwest League in the short season Mid-Summer Classic held in Grand Junction, CO on August 7.
"Congratulations to Daniel, Danny and Terrin for making the All Star team." said Bob Flannery, Boise Hawks General Manager. "Such a great honor to be recognized by our league and to represent the Hawks, Rockies and city of Boise."
Jipping - a 2017 Northwest League All Star and Home Run Derby Champion - leads the Hawks with 6 home runs and has 10 stolen bases. He also is third on the team in batting average (.298) in 38 games.
Edgeworth - a 2017 End of the Year Northwest League All Star - leads the Hawks with 12 doubles, hitting .276 with a .324 on base percentage in 40 games.
Vavra, in 21 games for the Hawks this season, is third on the team, hitting .325. He has hit two home runs, his first being the memorable walk-off 9th inning grand slam on July 11 against Vancouver.
