San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO - Chris Durno's 100th career goal to snap Nolan Schaefer's shutout streak was deflated as the Houston Aeros took a 3-1 decision over the San Antonio Rampage Friday night in front of a sold out crowd at the AT&T Center.

The teams skated through a physical, but scoreless first period in their seventh meeting of the season. The intensity persisted throughout, with Houston taking a 1-0 lead as defenseman Maxim Noreau scored a power-play goal 6:27 into the second period.

The lead was short-lived, however.

Durno stuffed in a goal almost three minutes later, halting Schaefer's streak at 151 minutes. The marker at 9:22 of the frame extended his point-streak to four games.

Houston right wing Danny netted the game-winning goal later in the period and Aeros right wing Joel Ward added an empty-net goal in the waning seconds for the 3-1 finish.
