Montreal Returns Corey Locke To Hamilton

HAMILTON, ON - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that the Club has sent forward Corey Locke back to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. Locke will arrive in Hamilton today and should be available for tonight's game against the Syracuse Crunch.

Locke, 23, was recalled by the Canadiens on Tuesday, January 8th, and played in his first-career NHL game that night against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 5-foot-9, 171-pound forward was scoreless with one shot in 5:59 of ice-time in the game.

The native of Newmarket, Ontario, leads the Bulldogs with 28 points (12-16-28) and has a plus-6 rating and 22 penalty minutes in 34 games so far this season. Locke is Hamilton's all-time leading scorer with 185 career points (67-118-185) in 269 career AHL games.

Locke was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the 4th round, 113th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
