D'Aversa reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned defenseman Jon D'Aversa from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Friday.

D'Aversa, 21, has appeared in six games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, recording two points (1+1). He has also played in 18 games with Wheeling, picking up nine assists.

The 6-2, 200 pound native of Richmond Hill, ON, began the season with the Penguins, before being re-assigned to Wheeling on December 1. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Penguins as an undrafted free agent this past summer.
