The Bulls play the finale of their three-game set against the Toledo Mud Hens in the first series of a five-game homestand. Durham has won two straight, but has still dropped seven of its last 12, is 9-13 over its last 22, and is just 14-23 since the All-Star break. The Bulls have dropped 39 of their previous 61 contests to go from a 2.0-game lead in the IL South to a 12.0-game deficit. Toledo - the Detroit Tigers' top affiliate - is 6-8 over its last 14, after suffering through a six-game losing skid from 7/31-8/5. The Mud Hens enter today with the 2nd-worst record in the IL (Pawtucket, 48-78).
