Webb to Begin Rehab Assignment Tonight

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - Chicago White Sox RHP Daniel Webb, who is currently on Chicago's 15-day disabled list with a back strain, will begin a major league rehab assignment with the Charlotte Knights tonight at BB&T Ballpark. After heavy rain postponed Thursday's opener, the Knights will host the Indianapolis Indians (Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates) in a doubleheader tonight. First pitch of game one is set for 6:05 p.m. from Uptown Charlotte.

Webb, 26, began the 2015 season with the Charlotte Knights and posted a 1-1 record with a 4.01 ERA in 15 games (24.2 IP). In 17 games with the White Sox this season, Webb is 1-0 with a 2.49 ERA (21.2 IP). The Paducah, Kentucky native spent the entire 2014 season with the Chicago White Sox and posted a 6-5 record with a 3.99 ERA in 57 games.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. tonight as the Knights are set to play two seven-inning games after last night's postponement due to rain. Game two will follow approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game one. RHP Hector Noesi (1-3, 4.05) will start game one of tonight's twin bill for the Knights, while RHP Terance Marin (3-2, 2.64) will take the ball to start game two.

Tickets from Thursday's game can be exchanged for an equal or lesser value ticket for any 2015 Charlotte Knights regular season game, based on availability. Tickets should be exchanged at the Knights Ticket Office located at BB&T Ballpark. The Knights will light up the sky after the final out of game two tonight courtesy of BB&T, 107.9 The Link, and News Talk 1110 WBT.
