OMAHA, Neb. - Veteran southpaw Doug Davis has been tabbed as the Pacific Coast League's Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 18-24 after completing two starts in which Davis pitched a total of 12.0 innings, punched out nine batters and allowed just one earned run. Davis is the second Storm Chaser to be named as one of the PCL's Player/Pitcher of the Week this season and is the first Omaha hurler to be awarded by the PCL since Luis Mendoza was honored for his performance from August 15-21 of 2011.

Davis earned two wins in his two starts, going six innings against Memphis on June 19, holding the Redbirds to a run over four hits in 6.0 innings on the mound. The crafty hurler continued his brilliance on the road at Oklahoma City on June 24 as he blanked the RedHawks over 6.0 innings while allowing just four hits and striking out six batters.

The veteran of 13 Major League seasons has pitched for seven different big league clubs, made his debut with the Texas Rangers in 1999 and has accumulated a record of 92-108 with an ERA of 4.44. The Kansas City Royals signed Davis to a minor league contract on May 12.

The Omaha Storm Chasers return home for a three-game series against the New Orleans Zephyrs, Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins and four-games against the Los Angeles Dodgers' Triple-A club, the Albuquerque Isotopes on June 27-July 3.
