Omaha Powers Past RedHawks, 7-4

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Omaha Storm Chasers (48-30) continued to use the long ball against the Oklahoma City RedHawks (44-33), leading to a 7-4 win in front of 3,754 on Monday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Omaha's Anthony Seratelli got started early, hitting a fly ball into the right field deck in his first at bat. The two-run shot gave Omaha a 2-0 lead in the second inning.

David Lough added to the Storm Chasers lead with a RBI-single in third. It was Lough's third RBI in the past two days.

Seratelli continued his hot streak with a home run to left field in the top of the fourth. It was Seratelli's 14th home run of the year, making it 4-0 Omaha. Seratelli has five hits against the RedHawks in 2012 and all five have been home runs. He has three home runs in the past two games.

The RedHawks got back in the game thanks to a two-run double by Brett Wallace in the bottom of the fourth making it 4-2, Omaha.

Omaha's Nate Adcock (4-2) didn't let the RedHawks get any closer. Adcock pitched six innings, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out three.

RedHawks starter Brian Bass (1-2) kept Omaha in check after giving up four runs in the first four innings. Bass finished eight innings, giving up four runs on nine hits and three walks. Bass struck out six while throwing 117 pitches, 74 of which were strikes.

Johnny Giavotella ripped an RBI-triple off Adalberto Flores in the top of the ninth. Clint Robinson followed Giavotella's triple with a two-run home run to give the Storm Chasers a 7-2 lead.

Tommy Hottovy pitched perfect innings in the seventh and eighth before running into trouble in the ninth. Scott Moore and Mike Hessman hit solo home runs to start the ninth. Despite giving up a one out single to Brett Wallace, Hottovy was able to get out of the inning for his seventh save of the year.
