Dogs Fall to Bucks

After a big win for the fans back at ISG Field last night, the MoonDogs looked to take the show on the road for the last time this season. This time against the Waterloo Bucks who have had the MoonDogs number this season.
The MoonDogs would get on the board first with a big second inning. Kip Fougerousse would start things out with a single into right field. Ty Rumsey would add to the base threat right away with a single. This would put enough pressure on the Bucks to cause them to break as Nick Baker would get Fougerousse and Rumsey home. Louis Magers would clear the bases with a deep double ending the scoring.
Waterloo would not take much time to get some of those runs back snagging one in the bottom of the second before going off for five in the bottom of the third to take a 6-3 lead over the MoonDogs.
The MoonDogs would get the bats going in the fifth inning starting with a Kai Roberts single. Brendan Hord would get walked as Rumsey would load the bases with a well-placed single. The MoonDogs would see two more singles keeping the bases loaded from Baker and Ben Hopper. An untimely error for the Bucks would allow two more runs to score before Asher Bradd would pack on some extra runs with a single. The scoring would end after Hord with his second AB of the inning would push the final two runs across.
The MoonDogs and Bucks would trade runs in the seventh inning before the Bucks would take the lead again with a four run eighth taking a two-run lead.
In the ninth the MoonDogs would attempt to come back but would fall short only getting one run before falling to the Bucks 14-13.
The season finally starts at 6:35 P.M. against the Waterloo Bucks at Riverfront Stadium.
