'Dogs Erupt in Finale, Sweep T-Bones

LINCOLN, Nebraska - Cody Regis had three extra-base hits and five RBIs, and the 'Dogs swept the Kansas City T-Bones with a 15-7 win at Haymarket Park on Sunday evening.

Regis had a two-run triple, a two-run double and drove in a run on an error, and Lincoln won a fourth consecutive game for only the second time this year.

Lincoln tied the season high for runs scored in a game, and the eight-run 4th inning was the highest single-inning run output of the year. The 'Dogs also walked season-high 10 times.

Forrestt Allday walked three times, singled and scored two runs, while Tyler Moore went 2-for-2 with an RBI, two walks and two runs scored. Christian Ibarra had two singles and has now hit safely in 10 consecutive games.

Randolph Oduber also had two hits - a double and a single - with three RBIs, and Nick Schulz hit his first homer as a Saltdog - a two-out solo homer in the 7th. Ivan Marin singled and walked twice with two runs scored, and now has 10 walks over his last eight games.

Lincoln is 7-2 in its last nine games and has two 15-run games and a 14-run game over that span. The 'Dogs are also averaging 6.8 runs per game over the nine-game stretch, and the only two losses came by one run.

The 'Dogs have Monday off before heading up to Winnipeg, MB for a three-game series against the Goldeyes beginning on Tuesday. First-pitch time from Shaw Park is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., and pregame coverage will begin at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN Lincoln 101.5 FM/1480 AM.
