
'Dogs complete a series from June 20-22 and lose the opener of a 4-game set

Portland Sea Dogs News Release
(Manchester, NH) - The Sea Dogs (57-48) and New Hampshire Fisher Cats (45-64) completed a suspended game from June 22 and then a regularly scheduled contest on Monday night at Merchantsauto.com Stadium. Portland lost the suspended game 7-5 and dropped the nightcap 5-1.
In the opener, J.P. Arencibia snapped a 5-5 tie with a solo-homer in the eighth inning off losing pitcher Daniel Haigwood. With two outs, Chris Gutierrez put the game away with an RBI single.
Daryl Harang (3-2) worked 2.2 IP on three hits and one run to earn the win for New Hampshire. Seth Overbey notched his first save by retiring John Otness with a runner at first base.
Iggy Suarez replaced Bubba Bell in the suspended game and clocked two home runs. Suarez and Mickey Hall hit back-to-back homers in the sixth inning to bring Portland within three.
New Hampshire scored five times off Kyle Jackson (5-2) in game two in just 3.2 IP. The 'Cats scored three in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Arencibia and a 2-run blast by Kyle Phillips.
Jacob Butler knocked in the game's final two runs with a double in the fourth inning. Portland scored their lone run on a sacrifice fly by Zach Daeges in the third inning.
Brad Mills made his Double-A debut for New Hampshire and allowed one unearned run over four innings on five hits, two walks and four strikeouts. Orlando Roman earned the win with two scoreless frames and Jo Matumoto completed the win by pitching the seventh.
Portland reliever Richie Lentz remained scoreless in Double-A, working 2.1 IP on one hit, two walks and a strikeout.
The Sea Dogs are 3-1 on the trip and continue their 4-game series with New Hampshire on Tuesday night at 7:05 PM. LHP Dustin Richardson (6-6, 5.70) against RHP Brandon Magee (4-11, 4.88).
Notes...Iggy Suarez has both multi-homer games this season against New Hampshire...Andrew Pinckney had two hits in game two...The Sea Dogs finished 0-for-6 with RISP in game two.
