Deputy 'Cash' first K-9 to drop puck for Grrrowl

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers, have announced that "CASH" will be the honoree for the Prudential C. Dan Joyner "Follow The Leader" puck drop on Saturday night at the BI-LO Center as the Grrrowl host the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05pm. "Cash" is a eighteen-month old German Shepard.

Officer Hal Harris and "Cash" are members of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit. The unit consists of three bloodhounds, "Mike" a black lab that is an explosives detection dog and seven patrol dogs and their handlers. Each patrol dog is certified in narcotics detection, man tracking, and handler protection.

For the second consecutive season, PRUDENTIAL C. DAN JOYNERS REALTORS sponsors the ceremonial puck drop to honor those local individuals who have shown great leadership in the community. The recognition is part of the partnership between the Grrrowl and Prudential C. Dan Joyner Realtors, a long-time supporter of the organization and the entire Upstate community.

The Grrrowl will be in action at home for four straight games, beginning on this Saturday night at 7:05pm against the Charlotte Checkers.
