Defenseman Paul Recalled to Florida

SAN ANTONIO – Jan. 6, 2004 – San Antonio Rampage General Manager Bobby Jay announced today that the Florida Panthers recalled defenseman Jeff Paul from the American Hockey League club.

Paul, 25, has appeared in 31 games with San Antonio this season, scoring one goal with six assists and a team-leading 92 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound native of London, Ontario was signed as an unrestricted free agent on Aug. 19, 2003.

Paul made his National Hockey League debut last season, skating in two games with the Colorado Avalanche and registered zero points and seven penalty minutes. He also played in 50 games with Hershey (AHL) recording five points (2-3-5) and 123 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by Chicago with the Blackhawks' second choice (42nd overall) in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.

San Antonio begins a five-game homestand on Thursday, January 8 with the Worcester IceCats at 7 p.m.

RAMPAGE RADIO BROADCAST CHANGE FOR SUNDAY'S GAME AGAINST GRAND RAPIDS

Due to National Football League's divisional double-header playoff coverage, the Rampage's radio broadcast for Sunday's game against the Grand Rapids Griffins has been moved to KSJL-AM 810 and 92.5 FM, the Ticket 760's sister station. The game is still scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.
