SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Doug Risebrough announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned D Zbynek Michalek (pronounced ZBIGH-nehk, mih-KHAL-ihk) to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL), the team's primary development affiliate. Michalek, 21 (12/23/82), did not appear in a game after being recalled by the Wild on January 2.
Michalek has totaled 10 points (3g, 7a) in 35 games this season with the Aeros. Michalek is expected to be in the lineup Thursday when the Aeros take on the Hartford Wolf Pack at 7 p.m. at Toyota Center.
