January 6, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON, New York – The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with the Ottawa Senators, announced today that right wing Brad Tapper has been acquired in a trade from the Atlanta Thrashers for center Daniel Corso.

Tapper (6'0 190 lbs., Scarborough, ON) has one goal and nine points in 20 games with the Chicago Wolves, Atlanta's AHL affiliate.

The 25-year old began his pro career after leaving RPI (ECAC-NCAA) after a junior season in which he totaled a league-high 31 goals and 51 points in 37 games with the Engineers. For his efforts, Tapper was named to the ECAC First All-Star Team and was selected to the NCAA East Second All-American Team.

After playing along side current Ottawa Senator defenseman and former Binghamton Senator captain Brian Pothier at RPI, the duo teamed up on the Orlando Solar Bears of the defunct International Hockey League the following season (2001) and won the Turner Cup championship in the league's final year of existence.

In the 2001-02 campaign, Tapper posted a pro career-best 14 goals in 50 regular season games for the Chicago Wolves in the franchises' first season in the American Hockey League. He then added three goals and seven points in 19 post-season contests as the Wolves won the Calder Cup.

Tapper is expected to join the club for this weekend's games.

Corso, 25, appeared in 32 games with Binghamton this season and was fifth in team scoring with seven goals and 18 points with a –3 rating and 16 PIM.
