Blues Send IceCats a Forward

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau announced today that the St. Louis Blues have loaned forward Jeremy Yablonski to the IceCats.

Signed by the Blues to an NHL contract on December 30th, 2003, Yablonski made his NHL debut on that night against the Philadelphia Flyers. The 6-1, 232 pound forward registered five penalty minutes in his lone NHL game.

The Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan-born forward has participated in five games for the IceCats this season, obtaining 19 penalty minutes. He's skated in 13 games for the IceCats ECHL affiliate, the Peoria (IL) Rivermen, recording two assists and 62 penalty minutes.

The IceCats travel to Texas for games on Thursday and Friday night and return to Worcester's Centrum Centre for a 7:05 face-off with the Springfield Falcons on Wednesday, January 14th.
