AKRON, OH - With the recent trades of familiar faces like Victor Martinez, Cliff Lee, Ryan Garko and more, many Cleveland Indians fans are wondering what players they'll recognize the next time they take in a game at Progressive Field. To that end, the Akron Aeros have a solution: Come to Canal Park! By taking in an Aeros game, fans will see the next wave of Indians stars up close and personal and will know the players on a first name basis by the time they don the red and blue of Cleveland.
Curious as to who will fill the void left by Martinez's trade to Boston? Come to Canal Park and you can see All-Star Carlos Santana, rated by Baseball America as the no.-1 prospect in the entire Indians system. Unsure about who can take over in left field for Mark DeRosa? Cleveland's Double-A affiliate is loaded with talent, and with the best record in the entire Eastern League the Aeros are closing on another playoff berth. To celebrate their first-place standing in the Southern Division, the club is offering a special $5 ticket offer for the three-game series against the Bowie Baysox August 18th-20th.

Akron has been in first place for 114 consecutive days this season, and the purple and black are also on pace for their fifth consecutive playoff appearance and fifth straight 80-win season, which would make them the first Eastern League club to ever accomplish that feat in the 86-year history of the league.
