Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
THIS PAST WEEK:
About Friday Night in Kalamazoo: The Cyclones found five different goal scorers while the team's penalty kill unit was a perfect five-for-five en route to a convincing 5-2 win over the Wings in front of 2,720 at Wings Stadium. Josh Birkholz, Wade Megan and Logan Shaw each had multi-point efforts while Rob Madore turned aside 29 saves to earn the victory.
About Wednesday Night in Toledo: Adam Brace's second period goal turned out to be the game-winner as the Cyclones knocked off the Walleye by a 3-2 final score in front of 3,635 at Huntington Center. Cincinnati's penalty kill was sensational as well, extinguishing three of the four Toledo Walleye man-advantages including two in the final period. Michael Houser made 30 saves to earn the win.
About Tuesday Night vs. Kalamazoo: Former Cyclone David Pacan scored the game winning goal as the Wings edged past the Cyclones by a 3-1 final score in front of 1,610 at U.S. Bank Arena. Goaltender Joel Martin turned aside 34 of the 35 shots he faced in the tilt, earning his team the victory and pulling them within one point of catching Cincinnati in the North Division standings.
