Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
THIS PAST WEEK:
About Friday Night in Toledo: The Walleye erased a two-goal deficit in the third period to rally past the Cyclones by a 3-2 final score in front of 6,181 at Huntington Center. Mathieu Aubin and Jonathan Hazen each scored for the Cyclones in a losing effort. For Hazen, the tally was his first professional goal.
About Wednesday Night vs. Kalamazoo: Daniel Koger potted two goals and added two assists as the Cyclones blew past the Wings by a 5-2 final score in front of 4,181 at U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday night. It was Koger's first multi-point game and was a game-high for any Cyclones player this season.
SHOTS FROM THE POINT:
Home Sweet Home: Cincinnati will be back at U.S. Bank Arena for both games this week, playing host to the Greenville Road Warriors. A year ago, the Cyclones were 2-1-0-1 against former Cincy Assistant Coach Dean Stork, who is now in his second season with the Road Warriors. Jarrod Skalde's team has won the only meeting between the clubs at U.S. Bank Arena, a 4-3 overtime triumph on February 25, 2011.
Cincinnati Home Warriors: So far this season, the Clones have been very successful in Downtown Cincinnati. Coming into the week, the Cyclones are 4-0-0-1 at U.S. Bank Arena. They are the only team in the ECHL that has yet to lose a home game in regulation and have strung together the longest active home winning streak in the league.
Liking the New Scenery: : New Cincinnati center Mike Pelech has flourished in his new surroundings since being traded here last week. In his first two games with the Cyclones, he has posted four assists. He had registered only five "helpers" in ten games with his previous team, the Toledo Walleye.
Coors Light Jarrod Skalde Show TONIGHT: Join Head Coach Jarrod Skalde and Voice of the Cyclones Nick Brunker at Gameworks in Newport on the Levee every Monday from 7-8pm! They will chat about all-things-Cyclones and take questions from fans. Admission is FREE and fans can enjoy inexpensive food and drink specials from Gameworks' extensive menu.
