Gwinnett has posted a 2-0-3-2 record in overtime this season. With Sunday's overtime loss to South Carolina, the Gladiators are on pace to tie the ECHL record of 18 for most overtime/shootout losses in a season. The organization holds the current record with 18 overtime/shootout losses recorded in the 2001-02 season as the Mobile Mysticks.

Getting Going: The Gladiators forward Tyler Murovich collected at least one point in each of the Gladiators last three games. For Murovich, it was his fifth, sixth and seventh point (4g, 3a) in the last nine games for the Gladiators. He began the season with just three assists in the first 11 games of the season.

Take a Shot: The Gladiators forward Bryan Brutlag was awarded the first penalty shot of the season for the Gladiators in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss against the South Carolina Stingrays. The rookie forward out of Lakeville, MN, was successful on the penatly shot for Gwinnett. It was the first penalty shot for Gwinnett since Pat Galivan was unsuccessful against the Reading Royals on February 27, 2011 .

Gone: Both assigned to Gwinnett late last week, Spencer Bennett and Riley Boychuk have both been recalled to the American Hockey League. Bennett returns to Portland after he collected two assists in four games with Gwinnett while Boychuk was recalled to Rochester after he notched a goal and an assist for two points in four games with the Gladiators this season.

Up to the A: Gladiators defenseman Corey Finehage was called up to Rochester of the AHL on Saturday. Finehage earned eight points (three goals, five assists) in 19 games this season with Gwinnett. The defenseman skated scoreless for Rochester in a 5-3 win over Hamilton on Saturday night.
