Walleye Notes

- Past Week Performance: Toledo finished this past week with a 1-1-0-0 record in the two games played. The Walleye surrendered a one goal lead Wednesday night in a 3-2 loss to Florida. The Everblades scored all three of their goals on the power play. Toledo rebounded with a 3-2 win over Cincinnati on Friday, when the Walleye scored three third period goals for the win. The two teams combined for a season-low 12 penalty minutes.

- Rising at the End! Friday night was the second time this season that Toledo trailed going to the final period and pulled out a win. Down 1-0 going to the third, the Cyclones made it 2-0 at 7:47 of the third before Toledo started its comeback. Joey Martin scored at 10:26 to cut the deficit in half. At 16:53, Adam Estoclet tied the game at two. The captain Kyle Rogers would complete the comeback when he scored with just two minutes left in the game. The other win for the Walleye when trailing entering the third period was November 6 at Gwinnett. The Walleye also turned a 2-0 deficit into a win that day by the score of 5-2.

- The Starts Continue! Goaltender Carter Hutton has started 10 consecutive games for the Walleye, which began on November 6. That is the longest streak for a Walleye goaltender since Thomas McCollum started 14 straight games from March 3, 2011 through March 27, 2011. Hutton has a record of 6-4-0-0 in the streak, with a 3.09 goals against average and a .897 save percentage.

- On A Roll! Toledo has won four of its last five games, and five of the last seven played. The Walleye have allowed just 19 goals in the last seven games, while scoring 27 of their own. The Walleye penalty kill, despite allowing three goals to Florida on Wednesday, has allowed just four goals in the past seven games (28 chances) for a kill percentage of 85.7%.

- Gametime: The Walleye will hit the ice for three games this week with all three played in the Huntington Center. Wednesday night, the Walleye will host division rival Chicago. Toledo defeated the Express 4-1 in their last meeting on November 16, but Chicago leads the season series three wins to one. Friday night, the Walleye will host the Greenville Road Warriors for the first time this year. Greenville took the first meeting this season 4-3 on November 3 in Greenville. Toledo is 3-4-0-0 against teams from the South Division this season. The Express will be back in the Huntington Center on Saturday night.

- Promotions! Friday night is the annual "Teddy Bear Toss" presented by BCSN. After the Walleye score their first goal, throw a stuffed animal onto the ice! Bring a stuffed animal from home or purchase one in the Swamp Shop before or during the game. The Bears will be donated to Lucas County Children's Services. Friday will also feature a post-game party with the Walleye players! Saturday night, the duo "Quick Change" will be performing and it is also "Team Autograph Night" presented by the Toledo Blade.
