
Cyclones Rally For 4-3 Win In Trenton

TRENTON, New Jersey - Cincinnati Cyclones forward Thomas Beauregard netted a goal and two assists, as the team came from a two goal deficit to claim a 4-3 win at Trenton on Saturday night. The win was the 50th in the coaching career of second-year coach Chuck Weber.
The first period had no scoring and for the first time this season, no penalties. Cincinnati held the edge in shots on goal in the first 20 minutes, 17-8
Trenton opened the scoring with tallies 25 seconds apart in the second period. Tony Zancanaro netted his fifth goal of the season 4:18 into the frame. Former Cyclone Matt Rogers picked up his second goal of the year at 4:43. Cincinnati closed the gap when Matt Syroczynski added his fifth goal of the season at 11:36, with Chad Starling and Jean-Michel Daoust adding the assists. The Cyclones again led the shots on goal battle, 15-5, in the period.
Cincinnati scored the first three goals of the third period, as Thomas Beauregard picked up his eighth score 2:24 into the period, as Tyler Howells and Andrew Martin added the assists. The first Cyclones lead of the night came at 10:42, when Andrew Martin tallied his third goal of the campaign from Beauregard. The lead opened to 4-2, when Beauregard got his second lamplighter of the night and ninth of the campaign at 16:29, on a play created from James Sixsmith. A power play goal from Stephen Wood at 19:25 narrowed the final score to 4-3.
Dov Grumet-Morris won his fifth consecutive decision, improving his record to 7-2, with a 21 save performance.
The Cyclones improves to 13-5-1, co-leaders of the North Division. Trenton drops to 7-12 on the year.
The Cyclones return to U.S. Bank Arena for three games next week (12/5 v. Dayton and 12/7 and 12/8 v. Elmira).
