Wheeling took Sunday afternoon's battle by a 4-2 final score to even the season series at one. Since the Nailers moved to the Atlantic Division, though, the Clones have dominated the series - going 10-2-0-1 dating back to the 2011-12 season.

SCOUTING THE NAILERS: Clark Donatelli's club has pulled into a tie with Reading for the top spot in the Atlantic Division, owning an 8-5-0-2 record and 18 points. Zack Torquato leads the Nailers and ranks sixth in the ECHL in scoring with 17 points (5 goals, 12 assists) in 15 games - including a pair of lamp lighters on Sunday. Carter Rowney, who has a pair of assists against the Clones this year, ranks second on the team with 13 points (6 goals, 7 assists) in 15 contests. Mike Condon has been between the pipes for both of the games against Cincinnati and now owns an overall record of 6-3-0-1 with a 2.28 goals-against average. His 301 saves are third most of any backstop in the ECHL.
About Sunday Afternoon vs. Wheeling: Zack Torquato scored twice as the Cyclones fell to the Nailers in their second meeting of the season by a 4-2 final score in front of 1,623 at U.S. Bank Arena. Netminder Mike Condon turned aside 27 of the 29 shots he faced while his team excelled on special teams, successfully killing seven penalties and scoring a short-handed goal in the tilt.
Cyclones Century Club: Several players are closing in on 100 games with Cincinnati. Taylor Aronson and David MacDonald need just nine games to reach the century mark while Anthony Luciani is just four games away. Between the three of them, they've amassed 143 points in a Cyclones jersey.
