SF Bulls Cruise to 5-1 Win over Bakersfield

SAN FRANCISCO - New addition, Tyler Gron scored twice and added an assist in the San Francisco Bulls' (5-10-1-1) 5-1 win over the Bakersfield Condors (3-12-0-1), Tuesday night at Rabobank Arena. The Bulls also received goal scoring from Brett Findlay, Dylan King and Dean Ouellet. Tyler Beskorowany stopped 27 of 28 shots to help backstop the Bulls to victory.

Ouellet ended the Bulls' scoring drought with a shot from the left faceoff dot that beat Condor netminder Chet Pickard for a 1-0 lead. Adrian Foster, signed by the Bulls on Monday, fed a racing Ouellet for an assist, his first point with San Francisco. King also assisted on the power-play goal, 6:56 in to the first period.

Bakersfield evened the score on a Chris Collins marker, 8:53 into the second. Gron put the Bulls ahead on a coast-to-coast effort with 7:32 left in the middle frame. The forward, acquired in a Monday trade from Idaho for Damon Kipp, raced to the other end to beat Pickard for the lead. The Bulls outshot Bakersfield 10-8 in the second period.

King doubled the lead on a point shot 5:41 in to the third period, his first of the season. Findlay added a one-timer with 5:38 left for a 4-1 advantage. Gron picked up his second of the night with 3:36 left in regulation to complete his three-point night and give the Bulls a 5-1 lead.

The Bulls return home to the Cow Palace Wednesday night in the second half of a home-and-home set with the Condors. Wednesday night is a bobblehead giveaway, with the first 1,000 fans receiving a miniature Pat Curcio statuette.

Bulletins: Dean Ouellet has two goals in two games against Bakersfield this season and eight goals in 11 career games against the Condors...San Francisco has held the Condors to two or fewer goals in eight of 13 all-time contests... Tyler Gron was the first multi-goal scorer in a game for the Bulls this season and the first player to have three points in a contest. The three players acquired Monday combined for four points...Adrian Foster had a helper on Ouellet's first period tally. Ouellet (1g, 1a) and Brett Findlay (1g, 1a) also had multi-point nights for the Bulls.
