BAKERSFIELD, California - Cyclones rookies David Desharnais and Thomas Beauregard each scored a goal and added three assists in helping Cincinnati to a 7-2 win over Bakersfield on Monday night. The win was the team's 18th in the last 19 games. It finished off the four game California swing with the Cyclones turning in a 3-1 record.

Matt Syroczynski picked up a pair of goals and added an assist in the triumph, as goaltender Max Daigneault stopped 30 shots in the victory-his seventh of the year.

The Cyclones raced to a 2-0 first period lead. Olivier Latendresse opened the scoring at 5:01, netting his second of the season, firing a rebound in the slot past Bakersfield netminder Yutaka Fukifuji. Mathieu Aubin and Jason Deitsch added the assists. Then, at 18 minutes, center Barret Ehgoetz snapped off his 14th goal of the season, as Ryan Russell, who picked up his first point as a Cyclone, and Chad Starling added the helpers. Cincinnati outshot the Condors, 16-9, in the opening period.

Cincinnati opened the lead to 3-0, when Matt Syroczynski netted his 23rd of the season from David Desharnais and Thomas Beauregard. It was the 24th straight game that Desharnais has registered a point-the longest stretch in the ECHL this year. Bakersfield would get the next two goals to close the gap to 3-2, as Evan Kotsopoulous (fifth goal) and Tim Konsorada (28th) tallied the scores. At 19:26, Cincinnati re-established the two goal edge as Desharnais fired home his 17th goal of the year from Beauregard.

For the 28th time this season, the Cyclones exploded for three goals in a period-this time in the third frame. Syroczynski netted his second of the night and 24th of the campaign at 10:08, as Desharnais and Beauregard added the assists. At 16:37, Mathieu Aubin scored his 20th of the year from Latendresse. The last goal of the night came at 18:42, as Beauregard picked up his 25th goal from Syroczynski and Desharnais.

The Cincinnati Cyclones are 34 games above .500, with a 43-9-3 record and sole possession of first place in the North Division-eighteen points ahead of second place Reading. The win gives Cincinnati a 27-3-1 record since December 15. Bakersfield is 17-31-9. The 43 wins are the most ever by the club.

The Cyclones return to action on Friday night with a 7:30pm tilt with Reading at U.S. Bank Arena. Tickets will be available at the door.
