LAST WEEK: Fresno went 2-1-0 last week, improving its overall record to 31-15-8 for 70 points. The Falcons remain in second place of the Pacific Division, 13 points behind Las Vegas.

Tuesday, February 26 vs. Phoenix FALCONS 5 RoadRunners 2

Fresno defeated Phoenix for the fifth straight time with a 5-2 win on Tuesday. Luke Curtin opened the scoring just 39 seconds into the first period, and Matt Quinn and Tyler Kindle scored just over a minute apart late in the period to give the Falcons a 3-0 lead. Phoenix's Peder Skinner scored the lone second period goal, with Curtin and P.O. Beaulieu scoring third period tallies to give Fresno a 5-1 lead. The RoadRunners added a power-play goal late in the third to set the final. Kris Mayotte turned aside 26 saves to earn the win in goal.

Friday, February 29 vs. Cincinnati Cyclones 2 FALCONS 1

Cincinnati edged Fresno 2-1 on Friday, extending its ECHL-record winning streak to 17 games. Joe Van Culin staked the Falcons to a 1-0 lead after one period of play with a goal in the final minute of the period. The Cyclones tied it early in the second, and the game remained even until David Desharnais gave Cincinnati the go-ahead goal late in the third period.

Sunday, March 2 vs. Utah FALCONS 4 Grizzlies 3 (SO)

The Falcons rallied twice in the third period to force overtime, and then prevailed over Utah in a shootout. Utah got goals from Ryan Kinasewich late in the first period, and from Olivier Labelle early in the second to open a 2-0 lead. Matt Stefanishion pulled the Falcons within one late in the second, and P.O. Beaulieu tied the score seven minutes into the third period. Rob Sirianni put the Grizzlies back on top with a power-play goal at 12:07, but Brady Leisenring forced overtime with his 21st goal of the season with 3:13 left. Both teams scored twice through five shootout attempts, setting up a sudden-death situation. Stefanishion scored in round six, and Utah's Garett Bembridge came up empty on his shot to give Fresno the win.

The Falcons and Grizzlies meet for the final three times this season at The E Center. Fresno is 3-4-1 overall against Utah this season, and 1-1-0 in West Valley City. Utah is in third place of the West Division with a record of 30-22-6 for 66 points. In the National Conference playoff standings, the Grizzlies trail the Falcons by four points, but Fresno has played four fewer games than Utah.

- Over the last 10 games, Fresno is 49-for-56 (87.5%) on the penalty kill.

- Oren Eizenman has at least one point in 12 of his last 14 games (6g, 15a).

FALCONS RETURN HOME ON MARCH 11

Fresno returns home on Tuesday, March 11, hosting the Idaho Steelheads at 7:00 p.m. It's Kids' Day at the Rink, presented by The Fresno Bee, ABC 30, Little Caesar's, and Educational Employees Credit Union. The first 1,000 kids 12 and younger in attendance receive a free growth chart. Falcons' players will be wearing special kids' day jerseys, which will be auctioned off following the game to benefit Children's Hospital of Central California. It's also a Two-for-Tuesday, presented by Carl's Jr., KMPH Fox 26, and KRZR 103.7 FM. Fans can visit any area Carl's Jr., and pick up a voucher allowing them to purchase one ticket at regular price and get a second ticket for free.
