Cyclones Battle Reading Royals in First Round of Kelly Cup Playoffs

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2010 Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they will face the second-seeded Reading Royals in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

The Cyclones, who earned this year's seventh-seed, will face the Royals in a best-of-five series beginning Tuesday night in Reading, Pennsylvania. The game schedule is as follows:

Game 1 at Reading Tuesday, April 5 - 7:05pm

Game 2 at Reading Wednesday, April 6 - 7:05pm

Game 3 at Cincinnati Friday, April 8 - 7:30pm

Game 4 at Cincinnati Saturday, April 9 - 7:30pm (if necessary)

Game 5 at Reading Monday, April 11 - 7:05pm (if necessary)

For those fans who have purchased a playoff ticket package, use "Game Ticket A" on Friday and use "Game Ticket B" on Saturday (if necessary).

This season against the Royals, the Cyclones earned points in all four meetings - posting a 1-0-2-1 record. It will be the third time in four years that Cincinnati and Reading have met in the postseason. Last spring, the Cyclones mounted an extraordinary comeback to become the sixth team in professional hockey history to rally from a 3-0 deficit to win a best-of-seven playoff series. Cincinnati's all-time postseason record against the Royals stands at 8-6.

Fans can hear all the action of every Kelly Cup Playoff game on the Cyclones Radio Network. Coverage of Game 1 can be heard on MAX-FM (99.5 FM) beginning Tuesday night at 6:50pm.

The defending Kelly Cup Champions will return to U.S. Bank Arena this Friday, April 8 when they host the Royals in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals at 7:30pm. Friday's contest will also feature $1 Donatos Pizza slices.
