Jackals Announce Transactions

Elmira Jackals News Release


The Elmira Jackals announced on Saturday that they have released forward Andrew Favot from his amateur tryout agreement and signed him to a standard player contract. The Jackals have also loaned defenseman Patrick Coulombe to their AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Favot scored his first professional goal last night for the Jackals in a 6-2 loss to the Toledo Walleye. He has three assists to go along with his goal for four points and is +5 in five games with Elmira. The King City, Ontario native led RIT (NCAA, D-I) with 43 points and 30 assists this season and is second all-time in Tigers Division I history with 130 career points and 89 career assists.

The Jackals finish off the regular season tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Wings Stadium against the Kalamazoo Wings before heading to the 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
