Ethan Cox Named AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month

Alaska Aces rookie left wing Ethan Cox is the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for March after leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +19, the ECHL announced on Saturday. The Aces will close the regular season with one final game in Victoria Saturday night, before returning home on Friday, April 15th and Saturday, April 16th for Home Games A & B of the Western Conference Semifinals. Cox was even or better in 14 of 15 games during March, including the final 14 games of the month. He was a season-best +4 as part of a three-point game (1g-2a) on March 6 against Stockton, and was a +3 on March 16 against Bakersfield.

The 26 year old is tied for second on the Aces with a +19 for the season. He has 30 points (13g-17a) in 55 games this season, and scored 16 points (7g-9a) during the month of March.

Prior to turning pro, Cox played four seasons at Colgate University scoring 41 points (17g-24a) in 150 career games.

In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Ethan Cox with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming Aces' home game.

Runners Up: Chad Anderson, Alaska (+18) and Wes Goldie, Alaska (+16).

In additional Aces news, Alaska has released forward Jacques Lamoureux from his ATO agreement in order for him to continue his military service. Lamoureux appeared in two games for Alaska, after playing collegiately at the Air Force Academy.
