
Cutters take series from Scrappers

Sunday night at Eastwood Field in Niles, Ohio the Cutters took the final game of a 3-game series with Mahoning Valley 3-1.
Rhys Hoskins drove in the Cutters first run in the top of the first inning with a ground ball to shortstop that scored Jiandido Tromp making it 1-0.
Derek Campbell led off the fourth inning with his league leading 19th double and scored three batters later on a Chase Harris RBI single to put the Crosscutters in front for good at 2-1.
Campbell plated Cord Sandberg who reached on an error in the top of the eighth inning to give the Cutters a 3-1 lead.
The Cutters are now off until Wednesday for the NYPL All-Star Game in Brooklyn to be played on Tuesday night.
