West Michigan Whitecaps News Release

COMSTOCK PARK - Starting Friday, when West Michigan Whitecaps fans attend a game, they'll see something rather unusual on the main concourse at Fifth Third Ballpark: a custom kids' playhouse, modeled after the ballpark.

Custom built by Mike Fraser of Out On A Limb Playhouses of Grand Haven, the Fifth Third Ballpark playhouse is approximately eight feet square and 11 feet high. It features rooftop seating, a rock wall, a dugout style front entrance, a baseball field on the inside and is wired for power and cable! The one-of-a-kind creation will be a magical place for the kids in one lucky family!

The playhouse is being raffled off to raise funds for the YMCA Inner City Youth Baseball and Softball Program. Fans can buy raffle tickets for $5 each or five for $20 at the Johnson Carpet One Customer Service booth behind home plate beginning at Friday's 7 p.m. game. Tickets will be sold at each game, and the the Whitecaps office through Thursday, Aug. 11. The raffle winner will be drawn during the Whitecaps game on Friday, August 12, and the playhouse will be delivered to the winner's home.

The Whitecaps would like to thank the following companies that donated to the project for their support of the YMCA Inner City Youth Baseball and Softball program:

- Corrigan Moving

- Diekevers Roofing

- Fence Consultants of West Michigan

- Monsma Marketing

- Out On a Limb Playhouses
