FORT WAYNE, Ind. - TinCaps OF Rymer Liriano was added to the Midwest League's Eastern Division All-Star roster on Tuesday. He becomes the fourth TinCap to make the roster, joining INF Jake Blackwood and RHPs Keyvius Sampson and Matt Jackson.

Lake County All-Star OF Anthony Gallas was promoted to the Advanced-A Kinston Indians on Monday, opening the roster spot for Liriano.

Liriano opened the season with Advanced-A Lake Elsinore, then returned to Fort Wayne on April 24. The 19-year-old struggled upon his arrival, but is currently on a 15-game hit streak which has raised his batting average from .236 to .310. He has reached base in 21 straight games. Liriano has been named MWL Player of the Week twice in the last three weeks.

On Wednesday against the Beloit Snappers, Liriano went 5-for-6 with a home run. It was the first time a Fort Wayne hitter had a five-hit game since Cedric Hunter did it in August 2007. His 28 stolen bases are tied for second in the league.

The TinCaps open a four-game, three-day homestand against the Dayton Dragons (Class-A Cincinnati Reds) with a doubleheader Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. RHPs Zach Cates (1-3) and Keyvius Sampson are the projected starters for Fort Wayne.
