Kane County Cougars News Release

GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Kansas City Royals, have announced that infielder Gerard Hall has been promoted to Wilmington (Class-A Advanced) while outfielder Brian Fletcher has been activated from the disabled list. This afternoon's roster move maintains a squad of 25 active players and precedes tonight's 6:30 p.m. game at Burlington. Hall, who was named a Midwest League All-Star reserve, will not participate in next Tuesday's game and the Midwest League will announce a Western Division replacement for Hall at a later time.

Hall (Non-drafted free agent, 2009) becomes the third Cougar this season to receive a promotion to Wilmington, joining Steven Caseres and Dusty Odenbach. A member of the Opening Day roster, Hall played in 53 games and his 171 at-bats were fourth-most on the team behind Alex Llanos, Ryan Stovall and Geulin Beltre. Hall batted .360 in 26 games at Elfstrom Stadium.

Fletcher (18th round, 2010) returns to the active roster after landing on the disabled list on May 12 with a hamstring injury. Fletcher is batting .328 this season in 30 games.
