ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Lake Erie Crushers scored early and often at Road Ranger Stadium on Saturday evening, and Josh Roberts delivered eight strong innings as the Crushers went on to win take the series finale against the Rockford Riverhawks, 5-2.

In the sixth, Matt Greener belted a one out single, before Roberts hit Cameron Satterwhite with a pitch, and did the same thing to Greg Van Horn moments later. Carlos Dominguez then brought in Rockford's only two runs on a single.

Ruben Flores (4) came on in the ninth inning and retired the 6-7-8 batters in order to snag his fourth save of the season. Rockford starting pitcher Alex Szymanski (2-1) allowed all five runs on eight hits, over just two and two-thirds in a losing effort.
