
Crunch Sign Defenseman Kevin Schmidt

Syracuse, NY (April 2, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Kevin Schmidt to an amateur tryout contract.
Schmidt, 23, appeared in 38 games with Bowling Green (CCHA) this season, tallying four goals, six assists and 51 penalty minutes.
A native of Markham, Ontario, Schmidt has skated in 147 games over the past four seasons at Bowling Green, recording 12 goals, 40 assists and 171 penalty minutes.
The Crunch's next game is Friday, April 3 as they battle Rockford at the War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at 315-473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling Ticketmaster at 315-472-0700.
