San Jose Sharks Reassign Center Tom Cavanagh To Worcester

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned center Tom Cavanagh to the Worcester Sharks, San Jose's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Cavanagh, 27, has played in 17 games with San Jose this season, posting two points (one goal, one assist) and two penalty minutes. He scored his first NHL goal on March 28 vs. Phoenix.
In 46 games with Worcester, he is sixth on the team with 36 points (15 goals, 21 assists) and 33 penalty minutes
The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Warwick, Rhode Island was originally selected by San Jose in the sixth round (182nd overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
