The BEARS had a chance to climb within two points of first place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, but could not take advantage as Syracuse wins 2-1 at the War Memorial.
Syracuse took a 1-0 lead to intermission when Joe Motzko scored a power play goal at the 11:14 mark of the first period.
