Coyotes reassign Monych to Rampage

SAN ANTONIO (Mar. 3, 2006) - The San Antonio Rampage announced today that the Phoenix Coyotes have reassigned right wing Lance Monych to the Rampage from the Coyotes ECHL affiliate in Stockton, Calif.

The 21-year-old rookie has scored eight points (5 goals, 3 assists) in eight games with the Stockton Thunder since being reassigned to the ECHL club on Feb. 15.

Monych has played 36 games and registered zero points and 16 penalty minutes with the Rampage this season. The Red Deer, Alberta native was the Coyotes' sixth choice (4th round, 97th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

Monych will be available for tonight's Rampage game against the Hartford Wolf Pack at the AT&T Center at 7 p.m. CT. The Rampage will be wearing special Spurs-themed jerseys tonight and will be handing out Spurs-legend Sean Elliott figurines to the first 1,000 fans.
