Crunch Recall Ryan Garlock and Blair Yaworski

Syracuse, NY (December 26, 2008) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled center Ryan Garlock and left wing Blair Yaworski from Johnstown (ECHL). In addition, the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned right wing Petr Pohl from Johnstown to the Crunch.

Garlock, 22, has appeared in nine games with the Crunch this season, posting 11 penalty minutes. He has also skated in 13 games with Johnstown this season, collecting eight goals, seven assists and 22 penalty minutes. A native of Iroquois Falls, Ontario, Garlock was signed by the Crunch to a standard players contract on October 8, 2008.

Yaworski, 23, has appeared in 16 games for the Crunch this season, registering eight penalty minutes. He has also skated in four games for Johnstown this year, tallying six goals, one assist and four penalty minutes. A native of Calgary, Alberta, Yaworski was signed by the Crunch to a standard players' contract on October 7, 2008.

Pohl, 22, has appeared in 28 games with Johnstown this season and currently leads the team in scoring with 12 goals, 18 assists and six penalty minutes. A native of Prostejov, Czech Republic, Pohl was drafted by Columbus in the fifth round, 133rd overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch's next game is Friday, December 26 as they travel to Binghamton to take on the Senators at 7:05 p.m. The Crunch return home on Saturday, December 27 for a 7:30 p.m. contest against the Hamilton Bulldogs.
