Bulldogs Snap Streak With 2-1 Loss

Rochester, NY - The Hamilton Bulldogs were defeated 2-1 by the Rochester Americans. Mike Brodeur turned away 36 of 37 shots and held off a late surge by the ‘Dogs to earn the win.

The Americans opened the scoring while on the power play at 18:48 of the opening frame. Peter Aston blasted a shot from the point that bounced off a Hamilton player in front of the net. The puck hit Hamilton starting goaltender Cedrick Desjardins before rolling over the goal line to give Rochester a 1-0 lead.

David Brine added an insurance goal for Rochester while on the power play at 14:02 of the final frame. While falling backwards, Brine banged the loose puck past Desjardins. Anthony Stewart and Aston also earned assists on the goal.

Mike Glumac cut the lead in half at 16:38 of the third stanza while on the power play. Glumac received a pass from Carle before rifiling a shot past Rochester starting goaltender Mike Brodeur. Olivier Latendresse also earned an assist on the play.
