
Falcons Lose To Monarchs 3-1

December 26, 2008 - The Springfield Falcons lost to the Manchester Monarchs 3-1 in front of 2,843 at the MassMutual Center on Friday night. The Falcons will next host the Hartford Wolf Pack on Saturday night at The Nest starting at 7 pm.
The Falcons and Monarchs exchanged power play goals in the opening frame as Scott Parse talled for Manchester during a 5-on-3 power play at 8:20 of the first period, followed by Springfield's Gilbert Brule tying the score at 10:26.
In the second period, Manchester gained momentum at 5:22 when Bud Holloway scored a shorthanded marker giving the Monarchs a 2-1 lead. Manchester took a 3-1 lead at 8:22 of the middle period when David Meckler tallied his eighth goal of the campaign.
