Craig and Reid Called Up by Lightning

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that captain Ryan Craig and right wing Darren Reid have been recalled by their National Hockey League affiliate, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Both players will join the Lightning in Tampa for their game Saturday night against the Detroit Red Wings.

Craig is in his third season of professional hockey and has collected 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points in 28 games with Springfield this season. Craig is currently tied for the Falcons team lead in goals (12) and is second on the club in power play goals with five. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound native of Abbotsford, British Columbia led Springfield in goals during the 2004-05 campaign with 27.

Reid is in his second season of professional hockey and has collected four goals and six assists for 10 points in 21 games with the Falcons this season. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Lac La Biche, Alberta spent his rookie season with Springfield last year collecting three goals and 19 assists for 22 points and 99 penalty minutes in 56 games.

The Falcons will not return to action until next Friday, December 23 when they travel to Providence to take on the Bruins for the third time this month. All games can be heard live on the Falcons Hockey Network, WMAS AM 1450, as "The Voice" of the Falcons John Michael handles the play-by-play duties.
