Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs (11-17-0-2) will look to stretch their winning streak to a season-high four games tonight when they meet the Hershey Bears (18-4-2-4) for the second and final time this season. The Bulldogs have an all-time record of six wins, 10 losses and three ties against the Bears.
Hershey defeated Hamilton by a score of 4-2 on October 30 at Copps Coliseum. Corey Locke and Jean-Francois Jacques scored for the Bulldogs, while Graham Mink (2), Tomas Fleischmann, and Boyd Kane had goals for the Bears. Hamilton was 2 for 9 with the man-advantage, while Hershey was 3 for 6 on the power play.
The Bulldogs are in seventh place in the North Division with 24 points and trail the Cleveland Barons (12-17-1-1) by two points for sixth position. The Bears rank second in the East Division, and are tied for second overall in the AHL (with the Houston Aeros), three points behind the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (21-2-2-1).
BULLDOGS NOTES - Last night at Philadelphia (3-1 W), RW Jonathan Ferland played his first game since October 26 after missing the last 23 contests with an MCL injury. Ferland recorded a team-high 26 penalty minutes in last night's game.
- LW Brad Winchester has nine points (5g-4a) in his last four games.
- C Francis Lemieux has recorded at least one point in each of his last three games. Lemieux has three goals and one assist over that stretch.
- C Marc-Antoine Pouliot (1g-1a), D James Sanford (1g-1a), LW Jean-Francois Jacques (1g-1a), D Danny Syvret (4a), and C Corey Locke (2g-1a), have all recorded at least one point in each of their last two games.
