Popovic Returns to Wolves

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned defenseman MARK POPOVIC (PAH-puh-vihk) to the Chicago Wolves.

The 23-year-old blueliner went scoreless in two games with the Thrashers, his second National Hockey League stint this season. Overall, he has played four games with Atlanta this year, averaging 9:26 per game in ice time.

POPOVIC has collected three goals - just one shy of the career-high four he netted in 2003-04 - and shares seventh on the Wolves with 11 points in 21 games.
