
Cozens And Lino Homer In Cutters' 10-5 Win

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters won their fifth consecutive game as they defeat the Mahoning Valley Scrappers 10-5 Friday night.
Trailing 1-0, the Crosscutters took a 3-1 lead in the second. Logan Pierce put the Cutters on the board with an RBI single to centerfield. Jiandido Tromp hit into a force out that allowed two more runs to score.
Dylan Cozens gave the Cutters a 5-1 lead with a three-run shot to right field in the third. Gabriel Lino followed through with a two-run shot of his own to extend the Cutters' lead to 7-1.
Andrew Knapp came through in the seventh with an RBI single to right field.
Williamsport closed the deal in the eighth. Pierce scored on a wild pitch from Joshua Nervis. Andrew Pullin hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield and Malquin Canelo scored.
The Cutters improve to 6-4 and play host to Mahoning Valley on Saturday for the second game of the three-game series. The action begins at 7:05 P.M.
