
Coyotes Assign Goncharov to San Antonio

Glendale, Arizona --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Maxim Goncharov to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).
The Coyotes now have 23 players remaining on the Club's active roster as the team prepares for its first two games of the 2010-11 NHL regular season versus the Boston Bruins Oct. 9 and 10 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Last season, the 6-4, 214 pound native of Moscow, Russia played 51 games with CSKA Moscow (KHL) collecting 4-13-17 and 52 penalty minutes.
The 21-year-old Goncharov was selected by the Coyotes with their fifth choice (123rd overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
