OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 6, 2010) - The Ottawa Senators today assigned defenceman David Hale to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators .
Hale, 29, appeared in five pre-season games for the Senators, recording two assists and 11 penalty minutes.
Originally signed by Ottawa on Aug. 4, the native of Colorado Springs, Colo., skated in 39 games for the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2009-10, recording four assists and 25 penalty minutes. He also appeared in four contests for the Lightning's American Hockey League affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, scoring once and adding an assist.
