B-Sens Assign Donati and Tifu to Elmira

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that forwards Justin Donati and Yannick Tifu have been assigned to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Donati, 24, spent the majority of the 2009-10 season with Elmira. In 65 games with the Jackals, Donati recorded 104 points (42 goals, 62 assists) and amassed 104 penalty minutes.

The Oakville, Ontario native also appeared in three regular season games with the B-Sens during the 2009-10 campaign.

Tifu, 26, also spent the majority of the 2009-10 season with Elmira. In 48 games with the Jackals, Tifu recorded 56 points (15 goals, 41 assists) and amassed 56 penalty minutes.

The Brossard, Que. native has appeared in 71 career American Hockey League games with Albany, Binghamton and Rochester.

The B-Sens training camp roster now stands at 28 players: three goaltenders, nine defensemen and 16 forwards.

The B-Sens open the regular season at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Friday, Oct. 8 at 7:05 p.m. against the Adirondack Phantoms.
