The Nailers look to close out the series tonight, after coming off a pair of back-to-back overtime wins over the Stingrays on Tuesday and Wednesday at the North Charleston Coliseum. Andrew Orpik sealed game one in the strangest of fashions thanks to bouncing puck that skopped by Stingrays goaltender Todd Ford on Tuesday as the Nailers won 4-3.
On Wednesday, it was Kyle Bushee's slapshot 7:03 into overtime, which secured the Nailers 2-1 victory, and a 2-0 lead in the series. Bushee has now registered a goal in four of the past five games.
Joey Haddad leads the Nailers in scoring in the early postseason, posting three points (2g, 1a) in two games. Wheeling goaltender Peter Delmas is 2-0 in two playoff starts. South Carolina is led by Trent Campbell who has scored twice in the post season, with both goals taking place in game one of the series.
