Goalie Goepfert Heads Back to Charlotte

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that goaltender Bobby Goepfert has been recalled to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.

The call-up for Goepfert (pronounced: GEF-ert) returns to Charlotte after a brief return to the Everblades for their first two games of the best-of-five Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series vs. Kalamazoo this past Tuesday and Wednesday. Goepfert earned the win in Tuesday night's 2-1 victory, then suffered the loss in Florida's 4-1 defeat on Wednesday night.

The call-up is his fourth to Charlotte this season, although he has not see any action in his previous visits to the Checkers. In 42 regular season games with the Everblades this season the Kings Park, New York native is 23-13-3 with a 2.74 GAA.

The Everblades return to action tonight when they take on the Kalamazoo Wings at 7:30 p.m. from Wings Stadium in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. The series is tied 1-1.
